The mind is a complex structure, but I do know that it's also selective, meaning it let's in what it wants to let in.
When you don't like a sound, you cover your ears. When you don't like an image, you close your eyes.
When you don't like a smell, you cover your nose.
When you don't want to talk or eat, you shut your mouth.
People don't understand that everyone has layers, some thicker than others. They think heavily and imagines things only they could fathom. Yet people seem to find ways to break through this biological barrier, some more unethical than others.
That's how I feel about school. They never take the time to understand, learn or cooperate with students, but treats them more like cogs in a machine, and that disobedient ones are those who need changing, only for one's benefit. I am but a victim to education as many others are. It feels a concentration camp. Feels very Holocaust like.
One must respect one's path, as long as it's beneficial to others, and not just to a select few. School prepares kids for a reality different from our own. They don't understand that they could become whatever they want to be.
But hopes and dreams are squished in the presence of oppression and force. Teachers degrade the minds of children, to turn them into machines of labor. But today is not the Industrial Revolution, but a golden age where anyone can be anything. Of course there are some not so lucky. Some born into poverty. But poverty is a barrier as well, not letting poor children to discover their true passion.
We all have a purpose, and we all want to contribute in different ways. We all have different ideas, beliefs and culture, but why take away such variety in favor of society's norms?
Why teach science if a child wants to be an actor, or teach tech if a child wants to be a policeman.
We should have understood their path before choosing their actions for them. But reality isn't a paradise, but neither is it hell.
As Thanos once said: "Perfect balance, as all things should be". #cute
